We've gotten some great reviews lately, and I realized that I hadn't shared any of them.

From Mrs. Giggles comes this lovely quote:

"Despite being set in a Mos Eisley Cantina-style setting, The Balance Of Silence has very little action. This is a romance with more internal conflict and character study than fireworks. The lack of action is compensated amply by the poetic relationship developing between Riv and Ducks, however. These two men are both damaged inside, and it is a beautiful kind of catharsis to see them slowly heal in each company's however."

And Scandalous Minx at Literary Nymphs has given us 4 1/2 nymphs!

"The Balance of Silence is a well written sci-fi saga that reflects on second chances, forgiveness, acceptance and finding love. S. Reesa Herberth and Michelle Moore have created a compelling story with two great characters."

Carol at RomFan reviews gives us 4/5 and says:
"The worldbuilding was very nicely executed, and the supporting characters had strong voices of their own."

And Tame at The Opening of the Chrysalis says:
"There was a perfect balance of intrigue, sensuality, innocence, carnality, new beginnings, old fears, and groundbreaking love that didn't overwhelm the senses, but engaged the reader totally. I can't wait to read more of their story, and more of the Ylendrian Empire!"

Guys, have I mentioned that I'm kind of blown away by the fact that people who aren't my Mom have read my book?

In other Ylendrian news, we finished the first major edits on The Slipstream Con, and have sent it off to make its way in the world.

Next up, we're working on Lake Effect, a paranormal mystery set in an old summer camp, and Peripheral Pineapple People, our psychic detectives... IN SPACE! book, which is another Ylendrian Empire novel. There may or may not have been some illicit plotting of a sequel to Slipstream, but I'll never tell.

November may be a bit of a breather for us, in terms of expanding the Empire. [profile] marigot_moore is thinking of keeping her NaNoWriMo tradition alive, and if she does, I am going to take the month and see where it'll get me with Skies Made of 1's and 0's, the steampunk story about angels, drugs, and magical binary that I have been "working on" for over a year. I can see the entire world, but it turns out that I'm kind of not good at writing without a partner.

Okay. I'm off to bed, before I turn into a pumpkin.
